First Bethel United Methodist Church
Stewardship Team

From the very beginning, God created the earth and made us stewards of this creation. Since then, we have been entrusted to care for what we are given. Things are no different today.

The stewardship team helps First Bethel discern the proper use of its gifts. In doing so, they are carrying on the work of Jesus himself, who spoke extensively about what we should do with the stuff we’ve been given. Stuff is more than just money and tangible possessions—though that’s part of it. We also possess intangible gifts and talents that can be offered to God as well. Our time is a gift in and of itself.

Under the direction of the stewardship team, we are encouraged to give back to God what we’ve been given—sometimes summed up as the three “T’s”: time, talent, and treasure. In doing so, we are reminded that it is truly more blessed to give than to receive. By sharing God’s gifts, we find great joy.
