First Bethel United Methodist Church
United Methodist Women

United Methodist Women is a 135-plus year old organization with nearly one million members in United Methodist Churches throughout the world. Raising awareness of global social justice issues for women and children and developing spiritual growth are key goals of this organization. United Methodist Women participate in meetings, service projects, mission studies, and financial giving.

Members of the First Bethel United Methodist Women know the importance and value of serving God, the church, and the community with a balance of activities. To raise awareness of local hunger, a United Methodist Women sponsored “Souper Bowl” luncheon provides a homemade soup lunch and collects much-needed food cans for local food pantries. Other events include a mission study on Palestine and Israel as well as guest speakers from “Good Schools Pennsylvania” to discuss public school funding.

If challenging goals are important to you, become a member of First Bethel’s United Methodist Women. The organization is open to any woman who desires to belong and to participate in the global mission of the Church.

I feel I have a responsibility to participate in mission education, social justice issues, and spiritual growth to call myself Christian. The United Methodist Women is an organization that fuels these passions for me. - Doreen
