Interfaith Hospitality Network of the South Hills is an interdenominational program that links local congregations to offer round-the-clock shelter, meals, and social services to homeless families in the southwestern Pennsylvania area.
First Bethel participates in the Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) in an effort to address the problem of homelessness. Several times a year we send volunteers to a nearby "host congregation" that serves as a temporary shelter to homeless families in transition. There we serve a meal and spend time with the families, extending to them our hand in the holy ministry of hospitality.
