Sing to the Lord a new song!
At First Bethel, the adult Chancel Choir is always finding new ways to sing God's praises through words, harmonies, and rhythms that express worship in the way only a choir can. Week after week, choir members share their gifts to create a beautiful offering for the Giver of all gifts.
The Chancel Choir is under the musical direction of Ruth Finlay, who brings over 30 years of knowledge and experience to First Bethel's music ministries. Ruth believes that music is good for the soul and provides an opportunity for people to express their spirituality.
A combination of contemporary and traditional music selections are performed throughout the year. The holidays would not be the same without the Chancel Choir's annual Christmas cantata, a must-see First Bethel favorite!
There are so many great opportunities at First Bethel to get involved. As part of the Chancel Choir, I enjoy learning and performing a variety of musical selections in addition to participating in the fellowship. There is a social aspect to being in the choir; I really get to know the people! - Jane
