Ushers provide an invaluable service to the congregation and guests visiting First Bethel.
Like the greeters, ushers welcome worshipers, and when the sanctuary is crowded, ushers find available seating. They also assist with the worship service, receiving prayer request cards and the offering, helping to facilitate the receiving of the sacrament of Communion, and more. Covering a wide variety of tasks, much of what the ushers do every week is done behind the scenes. On Sundays, they are often the first to arrive and the last to leave the church.
By faithfully contributing to this vital ministry in ways that are both seen and unseen, the ushers help ensure that the worship service is a meaningful experience for all who come to worship.
Being an usher is one way that I am serving the Lord. Ushers help to make the services run smoothly so that those in attendance can enjoy their worship experience. We also greet people with a warm, friendly smile that says, 'Welcome, we're glad you're here! - Todd
