Bells are ringing at First Bethel United Methodist Church!
For many centuries bells have been a part of Christian worship, calling people to worship and centering them in prayer. Today they are used melodically, blending high, crisp tones with low, steady vibratos in tunes both new and old. Being captivated by their meditative rhythms is an unparalleled worship experience.
The Wesley Ringers, named after early Methodists John and Charles Wesley, is our adult bell choir, which meets under the musical direction of Ruth Finlay to practice and perform a variety of pieces throughout the year. Some prior musical experience is preferred.
Don’t miss hearing the Wesley Ringers share their gifts first-hand in worship!
The Wesley Ringers are a fun group! I really enjoy our practice sessions on Thursdays. It’s a wonderful group of people. - Robin
