First Bethel United Methodist Church
Worship Enrichment

How can we help children understand and fully participate in worship?

One way is to have them in worship on a regular basis so they feel comfortable with what is going on and begin to learn the responses and rituals.

Another way is to talk about what is happening – giving them the whys and wherefores.

Worship Enrichment tries to have those conversations. Each Sunday, except the first Sunday of the month when the children celebrate communion with their families, First Bethel provides Worship Enrichment for the children who are three through those in fourth grade. Following Children’s Time at worship services young people have the option of going to the Education Building with one of our Christian Educators.

While they are there they sing, think about the scripture of the day, play games, and generally "learn about worship".  It's fun and it gives the children a chance to ask questions about the church and their faith.

Meets following Children’s Time at the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services.
Meets in Room 3 of the Education Building.
